The stories you’ve shared are rich in mythological significance and explain the origins of the Nag Panchami festival, celebrated in reverence to serpents. Here’s a brief overview of the three tales:

Vasuki as the Churning Rope:

In another version of the Samudra Manthan, Vasuki, the serpent king,  used as a rope. The gods held his tail, while the demons held his head. The poison that emerged and lord Shiva consumed that poison first, who held it in his throat to save the realms. The emergence of Amrit and the subsequent celebration of immortality also tie into the celebration of Nag Panchami.

Lord Krishna and the Defeat of Kaliya:

On the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan, Lord Krishna defeated the serpent Kaliya, saving the people of Vrindavan. This act of divine intervention is commemorated on Nag Panchami, with Krishna also being known as ‘Nathaiya.’
